▣ Revive & Refresh a room in your home
0 Comments added to this post
Give your home a fresh look with a new coat of paint.
Imagine a room in your home with a breath of fresh air for under $50.00.
Before you start your project, you want to choose the right paint color. Start with an inspiration piece to pick a color such as a pillow, picture, or a sofa fabric
You want to make sure you have the necessary tools for painting. The paintbrush you use depends on the paint and the project. If your project requires oil-based paint, natural bristles hold paint better than synthetic brushes. If you’re using latex paint, then the nylon and polyester brushes are much better because they don’t absorb water. Other tools you may need is
Blue painter’s tape
Sandpaper 220 grit for light sanding/150 grit for heavier sanding
No-drip caulking gun
Scraper
Flush Spackle (eliminate the need to sand)
When you finish painting, clean up should be easy. For the latex paint, pour about one inch of water into a bucket and work it through the brush until it’s clean. Make sure you remove all the paint from the brushes. Once the brush has dried place it in its original package.
